Sailing

I managed end-to-end production for high-profile sailing events, capturing dynamic imagery under challenging conditions. The work demanded patience, stamina, problem-solving, and time management skills, as well as effective people management. I worked abroad and across the UK with various sailing associations, including ILCA, Catamarans, Topper, Finns, D-Zeros, Solos, Moths, and B14s, among others. The experience taught me how to navigate difficult weather conditions, long hours, and the fast-paced nature of sailing events, while ensuring all content met high standards.

I specialised in drone photography, delivering stunning aerial shots for class associations and capturing key moments from unique perspectives. I collaborated with Yachts and Yachting to manage content distribution for major events such as the B14 Worlds and European Championships, even traveling solo to Italy to cover the event and meet the publication’s requirements. Additionally, I created stand content for various class associations at the RYA Dinghy Show, producing promotional media that boosted brand visibility and engagement.

Equipment used: DJI Mini 2, DJI Mavic 3, Sony a7III, Sony a7IV, 300mm telescopic lens. Fully insured, PB Level 2 qualified, and RIB owner.
